What is your role at Lewis Group?
Staff Accountant

What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is the constant variety—it’s like being a problem-solver every day! I get to tackle all kinds of different issues, which keeps things fresh and exciting. Whether it’s crunching numbers, finding patterns, or coming up with creative solutions, there’s always something new to learn. No two days are ever the same, and that ongoing challenge helps me grow both professionally and personally. Plus, being able to help people and businesses through those challenges is incredibly rewarding.

Tell me about your hobbies. What do you like to do when you are not working?
Right now, my biggest hobby is wedding planning—it’s such an exciting time, and I’m lucky enough to be doing it with the best fiancé a girl could ask for! Beyond that, I absolutely love connecting with others, so spending time with family and friends is super important to me. Whether it’s catching up over coffee, hosting a dinner, or just sharing a laugh, those moments are always so meaningful. In my downtime, I’m usually curled up with a good book—reading is my escape and a great way to unwind. I also love to stay active, so working out is a big part of my routine. Oh, and I can’t resist a good sing-along or impromptu dance party! Music and movement are such a great way for me to let loose and have fun.

What is your favorite quote or saying or word of advice?
“Listen to advice and accept discipline and at the end you will be counted among the wise.” – Proverbs 19:20

Tell me your favorite story or experience working at Lewis Group.
One of my favorite experiences at Lewis Group was when I got engaged and had the chance to share the news with my coworkers. The moment I told them, the reactions were absolutely priceless—everyone was so genuinely excited and happy for me, and the support and warmth I felt in that moment was overwhelming. It’s a memory I’ll cherish forever because it really highlighted the true care and bond we share as a team. It’s a perfect reflection of the culture here at Lewis Group—where we genuinely care for people and the connection, not only the numbers.

How did you start working for Lewis Group?
Funny story; I actually got Chris’ number from a family friend, and I decided to give him a call. I had to leave a voicemail, but he did get back to me, which was great! The only catch was that he mentioned Lewis Group wasn’t actively hiring at the time. Still, I took the opportunity to share a little about myself and what I was looking for, and to my surprise, he ended up inviting me in for an interview! The interview may have been the longest one in Lewis Group CPA’s history but as soon as I walked in, I just knew this was the place. The people, the culture—it felt like such a good fit, and I could immediately tell this was a team of genuinely amazing people. It was one of those moments where everything clicked! I’m so grateful it worked out the way it did, because it’s turned into a fantastic opportunity!

Give me a special ability or trait you have that helps you do your job.
I do my best to stay upbeat and solution-focused, even in the high-pressure situations. I take pride in my work and give my 100%. My goal is to uplift and inspire my colleagues and clients to keep moving forward and see setbacks as opportunities for growth. My positive mindset helps shift the energy in the room, making challenges feel more like exciting opportunities.

What is your office pseudonym or nickname?
The Energizer Bunny

If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d probably be a….?
I’d probably be a travel influencer, sharing my love for food and fashion. I’d be jet-setting to the coolest destinations, tasting all the best local dishes, and putting together outfits that are as stylish as they are practical. A girl can dream right?

If we held an office talent show, I would wow everyone with my….?
I would wow everyone with my ability to reenact scenes and quotes from my favorite shows and movies along with some fun facts!

Tell me about a fictional character you admire, and why.
Joy (from Inside Out). Joy is admired for her optimism, resilience, and emotional intelligence. As the emotion that drives Riley’s happiness, Joy’s journey is about realizing that all emotions—joy, sadness, fear, anger—are important. She learns that true strength comes from embracing a full range of feelings and being adaptable in difficult situations. Her evolution from thinking that only happiness matters to understanding the value of all emotions teaches us that growth and resilience come when we allow ourselves to experience both the highs and lows of life.

Describe yourself in three words.
Enthusiastic, Honest, Supportive

You’re stuck inside and have to binge watch a TV show, which one do you pick?
If I had to binge-watch a TV show while stuck inside, I’d definitely go with The Office. No matter how many times I’ve seen it I still laugh. It’s just the perfect mix of awkward humor and heartwarming moments. I’d also throw in a bit of Suits for an instant dose of confidence and style inspiration! Harvey, Mike, and Donna are an unstoppable trio with confidence, charisma, and loyalty.

If you have a theme song for your life, what would it be?
“Boogie Wonderland” – Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Emotions
