What is your role at Lewis Group?
I’m the head of our internal bookkeeping department as well as our firm’s best dancer.
What do you love most about your job?
That I get to help clients, whether it be through a quick phone call or email or by completely taking over their bookkeeping so that they don’t have to worry about it.

I like to collect old books while pretending that one day I’ll actually read them all. I’m also very fond of lizards and would have a room full of them if my wife would let me…

Tell me your favorite story or experience working at Lewis Group.
Every year, our office is closed the week between Christmas and New Years. This is one of my favorite things about working at Lewis Group because it gives us time to relax and enjoy the holidays with our families, especially right before we dive into the next tax season!
How did you start working for Lewis Group?
My uncle is a long-time friend of Chris Lewis’, and he introduced us to each other. At the time, my wife and I were moving back to Washington from Arizona, and I was in need of a job. After interviewing with Chris for the first time, I knew there was no place I’d rather work than at Lewis Group.
Give me a special ability or trait you have that helps you do your job.
I have a knack for identifying where issues stem from and how to remedy them. This helps me guide our clients on proper bookkeeping procedures as well as help other team members find and resolve the issues they run into.
What is your office pseudonym or nickname?
First, it was, “New Kid”. Then, it was, “Broccoli Boy” (don’t ask). Now, it’s, “Zachy”.
